Coro star Denise Welch gives up the bottle

Former Coro star Denise Welch has vowed to quit drinking after her toyboy boyfriend Lincoln Townley showed her a video of herself drunk.

Denise (54) who played Natalie Barnes on the iconic soap, has been dating Lincoln Townley (39) since April after splitting with her husband, actor Tim Healy. But her drinking has already put pressure on her new relationship.

Sources say Tim showed Denise a video of herself where was rambling and ranting while under the influence.

“Seeing herself drunk and out of control, slurring horrible abuse at the man she loves was a real wake-up call,” a source told the Daily Star. “It was truly shocking for her to see the kind of vile behaviour she is capable of when she has a few drinks inside her and she knew if she didn’t change she would risk losing Lincoln for ever.”
