Cheryl Cole is one gorgeous Brit. Unfortunately for the formerGirls Aloud member, her good looks don’t translate into listenable music. She’s a big name in the UK, but A Million Lights is a confused, trend-thrashing collection of break-up songs, party pop and techno tunes. The tone of the album is clear from its song titles, including the woeful Sexy Den a Mutha. Girl In the Mirror starts off promisingly with snappy lyrics and a poppy sound. However, like other songs on the album, it’s soon slaughtered by a misguided attempt to follow the pop-dubstep trend.
