Troubled star Britney Spears believes if her father Jamie Spears hadn’t become her conservator three years ago she may have ended up dead.
Jamie was made co-conservator of the singer’s estate three years ago – meaning he has control of her personal and professional affairs – after a series of public meltdowns, and she is now grateful for his intervention.
“Britney’s relationship with her dad is in a very, very good place right now,” says a source at the recent oTV Video Awards, where the star picked up a gong for lifetime achievement. “She was extremely emotional backstage before leaving and kept telling her daddy how much she loves him.”
