Britney Spears’ internet and phone use monitored

Britney Spears is heavily controlled by the rules of her conservatorship – to the extent that her cell phone calls and internet access are monitored.

She seems to have the upper hand on the judging panel of the X Factor, but behind the scenes Britney Spears is heavily controlled by the rules of her conservatorship – to the extent that her cell phone calls and internet access are monitored.

After her well-documented meltdown in 2007, Britney’s father Jamie was appointed conservator of her affairs. But although the singer appears to have her life back on track, Jamie and her fiancé Jason Trawick are said to be wary of letting Britney have access to a phone in case her former manager Sam Lutfi tries to contact her.

“Britney and Jason essentially share a cell phone,” a source told RadarOnline. “[Her phone is] routinely checked to see who has been calling… the cell phones have been programmed to block calls from phone numbers associated with Sam.”

Britney’s conservators also reportedly protect her from internet access in case she is upset by reading negative stories about herself online.

Sam Lutfi is currently suing Britney and her parents for defamation and breach of contract, but when the case goes to court, due to the conservatorship Britney is unlike to take the stand.
