Bono has collaborated with the Spice Girls on a new song for the girl group’s greatest-hits album. Despite their concerts selling out in record times, music-company bosses were unsure the CD would sell well, so recruited the U2 frontman to help out.
An insider reveals, “It might seem unusual, with the Spice Girls’ pop roots and the much rockier work of Bono, but it works. Bono’s involvement has lifted the whole camp and he’s delighted to have been asked and add his experience.”
George Michael is also helping Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell by helping them write their Christmas single.
