Actress dumped by press release

And you thought being ditched via text message was harsh! ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Kill Bill’ star Vivica A Fox has been dumped via a press release.

The actress has been dating much-younger nightclub promoter Slimm (yes, really) since January. However, the single-named fellow recently sent out a PR message saying, “Unfortunately, me and Vivica are no longer dating. After eight months, , it’s time to go our separate ways. In life, you can love and have chemistry with a person, but flaws can sometimes outweigh the relationship. I wish her the best and I know she feels the same.”

Though she’d recently had an argument with Slimm (29), we hear the press release was the first self-proclaimed “cougar” Vivica (46) had heard of their break-up.

However, there’s good news. Slimm later sent out another announcement, declaring, “Sometimes a person may act out of anger. I was overreacting instead of letting time take its course. Vivica is an important part of my life and I would never try to hurt her.”

Yes, they’re still together. Vivica herself says, “Love is crazy sometimes. Slimm and I are fine. All relationships have their ups and downs. I’m so proud that Slimm was man enough to clear up the air. He is a very good man with a great heart.”
