Speaking to Woman’s Day from Glenorchy’s Kinloch Wilderness Retreat, where they tied the knot, the former Shortland Street star, 34, says, “The outpouring of love from everyone, especially those who know what it’s like to walk through pregnancy after miscarriage, has been amazing. We both feel really supported and hope that this little one feels it too.”

After doctors diagnosed Kim – who stars in the upcoming Three series Homebound 3.0 – with a diminished ovarian reserve, meaning she had fewer eggs available for fertilisation, her online followers came through with lots of “tips, tricks, recommendations and referrals”.

Describing her state of mind as “in love, excited, scared, nervous and hopeful”, she says, “We would not be in this position without the generosity of those who reached out. I will forever be in debt to those amazing people!”
