Kiwi brothers Liam, 11, and Connor, 10 are the only Kiwi team competing on Nickelodeon’s seriously slimy reality show Camp Orange!
The siblings will put their skills to the test when the final episode airs on Saturday at 5.30 (Sky Channel 101) but in the meantime, we caught up with them to talk about their winning strategy and what it’s like to be famous!

Q: You are the only Kiwi duo on the show – how have your New Zealand roots given you the edge?
Connor: Like many Kiwis, I love the outdoors so this was perfect for Camp Orange.
Liam: I love being a New Zealander and I went into the show knowing that many Kiwis would back my team. I also like the challenge of helping Kiwis winCamp Orange three years in a row.
Q: Is there any rivalry between the two countries?
Connor: Not really, only just when I wore my Highlanders shirt, it started a big argument.
Q: Siblings are known to fight and bicker, what is your relationship like on the show – do you two get along?
Connor: On the show we only had each other so I treated Liam how I wanted to be treated. Outside of the show, yes we do get along, but I think we are just like any other siblings!
Liam: We are competitive between ourselves but that doesn’t stop us working together. On the show I think we came across well and we supported each other.
Q: What has been the most challenging part of the experience?
Connor: Keeping a secret about getting on the show until it came on TV!
Liam: Diving into the challenges and knowing if we don’t win we have a chance of getting the Barf Buggy.
Q: Do you have a team motto?
Both: Just bro it.
Q: What have you learnt about each other during the experience?
Liam: That Connor can be the most supportive and helpful guy when needed.
Connor: Liam will catch me if I fall, he is someone I can really trust in challenges.
Q: What advice did your parents give you before you left?
Connor: It’s not about winning the challenges, it’s the experience that counts.
Liam: Play fair and try to get along with all the other teams.
Q: How does it feel to be famous?
Liam: Not any different really. People do come up to me and say they saw me on TV. It’s like watching someone I know on TV and I then remind myself that its me!
Connor: I wouldn’t call it being famous, just a step towards it.
Q: Based on your experience, would you consider pursuing a career as a TV star?
Liam: If an opportunity popped up I’d take it. What happens, happens!
Connor: Yes, if the opportunity comes to me I would love to.
