Kid’s note perfectly sums up the problem with being an adult

Children have a wonderful way of getting right to the heart of an issue, don’t they?
Children can often be smarter than their elders

Unlike some of their elders, kids seem to be able to spot insincerity from a mile off, or tell exactly how a person is feeling before they even know it themselves.

Case in point is this 6-year-old’s scribble, shared on viral image site Imgur, that shows more wisdom than many adults are capable of.

Responding to the statement “Grown-ups are weird because,” the child wrote:

“Every one of them says how are you? And you always have to say good even if you’re not good.”

Isn’t that just the most adorable thing you’ve ever heard?

In an age where we are constantly being encouraged to be open about mental health issues, this child’s statement about being honest with others has special significance.

And with a huge 16 percent of adult kiwis experiencing a mental health issue at some point in their lives, isn’t it time we all started being a little more open about the true state of affairs?
