Layering can also apply to other elements in a bedroom. Adding a plush rug will not only make your feet happy, it will also add another area of interest and warmth. A lighter shade of rug, such as cream or beige, can help your bedroom appear more spacious. If you’re unsure where to place it, aim to have the bottom third of the bed on the rug. Also think about lighting – a soft bedside lamp, as well as the main ceiling light, is a great option.
