This Christmas, create your own personalised bags for gifts or make multiple bags for a homemade hanging advent calender. The bags are so simple to make and a great craft project to do with the kids!
We created the gift bags with a little help from a Punch and Score board, available now from Warehouse Stationery.
**Materials:
**
Paper or thin card (for your gift bags)
Ribbon, for bag handles
Mini wooden pegs
Use the Punch Board to cut your paper to size.
**Step 1
**Choose the size bag you wish to create – the guide gives you the break down on the actual punch board. Trim the paper to the desired size.
**Step 2
**Punch the paper using the guidelines by pressing firmly on the punch.
Score the paper for your gift bag along the specified lines.
**Step 3
**Score the lines on the specified lines.
**Step 4
**Shift paper left and continue the punching process.
**Step 5
**Punch the holes for the bag handles.
**Step 6
**Fold and glue to complete the bags. Thread your chosen ribbon through the bag handle holes.
Create multiple bags for a hanging homemade advent calender.
**Step 7
**The finished bag can be used for gifts or make multiple bags to create a hanging advent calendar. Place a treat inside each advent bag and hang from twine using mini pegs.
