Gourmet bacon butty

Take a classic bacon butty up a notch with some delicious additions

You can’t go wrong with a classic bacon butty, but this version with the addition of beautiful soft cheese, caramlised onion relish and fresh herbs is sure to tantalise the taste buds

Cook time: 10 mins

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil

2 packs Farmland Grillmaster bbq bacon thick cut with bbq glaze

2 tbsp mayonnaise

4 brioche style buns, sliced open

125g brie or camembert, sliced

½ cup store bought caramelized onion relish

A handful Superb Herb Basil

  1. Preheat the barbecue on medium heat.

  2. Drizzle one side with oil and cook bacon to packet instructions, or to your liking.

  3. Spread some mayonnaise on the brioche buns then place brie/camembert slices on. Place buns cut side up on the other side of the barbecue to warm the buns and melt to cheese. Close the lid.

  4. Serve buns slathered in caramelized onion relish, perfectly cooked bacon and some basil leaves. Delish!
