Actress Cate Blanchett (42), has criticised pressure to have cosmetic surgery. Not that she can have physical worries, judging by her shapely arms. She keeps fit by running after her three sons and doing Pilates.

Try this: Tone upper-arms with the Triceps Kickback. Stand side on to a bench or chair. Place your left knee on it and bend forward from your waist — keeping your back straight — so you are leaning on the bench with your left arm supporting you.

Pick up a dumb-bell in your right hand. Bend your right elbow to bring the dumb-bell up to your torso. Straighten the arm behind you — keep the upper-arm close to the side of your body.

Use a weight of 5lb of more: if weights are too light, only part  of the muscle  is engaged.

Repeat 12 times on each side.
