Fancy pants

Undergarments are a big part of your overall look. Wearing an ill-fitting bra can make you look saggy or bigger than you are, and underwear that cuts in gives you unsightly lumps and bumps. The right lingerie can give boyish slim figures a boost or to flatter feminine curves.

Here are some helpful hints on how to achieve the desired look with lingerie

  • When bra shopping for a fuller bust, strong support is important. Look for a deep-cut cup so that it doesn’t dig into the cleavage. Wide straps will give better support and more comforts

  • If you have a flat chest, it can be hard to feel feminine. Look for a bra that has an underwire and a bit of padding to lift your bust and create an illusion of shape

  • When was the last time you had a proper bra fitting? If your answer is never, or not in the last five years, it’s time to go. Bendon and Farmers stores have trained staff in the lingerie department to help you get the best fit and flattering results, no matter what your size or budget.

  • Lace lingerie does look great but doesn’t work well under some fabrics such at fine knits and T-shirts – the clothing can catch or appear bumpy. Every girl should have a classic smooth T-shirt bra in black, white and nude so that you have all your bases covered.Maximise…Create some volume with underwire padded cups. Push-up bras have come a long way – they now give you a subtle, natural-looking cleavage.

  • If you are someone who only likes extra shape for going out, look for a bra with removable padding.

  • Continue to give your bust the lift and shape it needs, no matter what your outfit, with a convertible bra that can be changed to work under strapless, halter or racer-back tops.

  • Tame your curves with a minimising bra. These bras can give the illusion of slimming a full cup size.

  • Go for high-cut bras that will firmly support the base of your breasts. This will eliminate any cleavage overspill, giving you cleaner, firmer lines.

  • Never purchase a bra without trying your outerwear on over the top first. Ideally, take with you a garment you wear a lot. A well-fitting bra in your correct size will flatter your shape.

  • oany women have one side slightly bigger than the other. In this instance, always fit the larger side. Go for higher cut cups that will mould around your curves, rather than leave a gap at the top of the smaller side.
