‘Granny hair’ or ‘silverising’ is a huge colour trend at the moment.
“For non-grey haired women, the process is to lighten the hair with a professional salon product, then use semi-permanent colour to achieve a grey tone to complete the finished effect,” says Hayley Pullyn from Matrix.
She advises that those with a cooler skin tone can opt for a true grey shade, while those who have a neutral or warmer skin tone should try going for a pink, peach or lilac/beige shade.
