MAFS SPOILERS: ‘Enough is enough’ between MAFS’ Carina and Paul

A police investigation and bombshell texts have driven a wedge between the couple

They were one of the strongest couples in Married At First Sight Australia, but in the space of a week, it appears Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine’s union has come undone, with sources telling Woman’s Day that Carina has walked away from their marriage as she prepares to tell all.

There are many issues behind the implosion. However, we hear it was spearheaded by Paul’s infamous door-punching incident. It saw the French-born wellness advisor, 30, lash out on a hotel door after learning Carina, 31, had slept with a well-known rapper.

The incident not only sparked furore among fans but has also ignited a criminal investigation. New South Wales Police confirmed in a statement that “the matter has been referred to officers from South Sydney Police Area Command”.

A show insider says, “Carina has been working with the police”. While “she hasn’t wanted to press charges”, the move shows that she is taking the matter seriously.

On top of this, Carina feels embarrassed following the leaking of flirty messages between Paul and a mystery woman. The texts were reportedly sent last November, just weeks after filming had wrapped. In them, Paul tells the woman he found her social media profile via Tinder. Then, he proceeds to ask her out on several dates, although it’s not clear if they ever met up.

Meanwhile, things get worse for the couple on MAFS this week. It comes to light that Paul had a fling with Awhina’s twin sister Cleo Rutene before the experiment, causing Carina to tell her husband she’s lost her trust in him. Then Paul goes on to reveal a bombshell secret about his bride to Awhina, 30, which has devastating consequences.

Jamie tells, “At that point, Carina and I were still in recovery mode for our friendship. Still, even I spoke out that I disagreed with Paul. He should not have relayed that comment.”
