Lights! Camera! Action! A new bunch of talented Kiwis are vying for online supremacy in the 2025 TikTok Awards.
The social media platform recently announced the nominees for 14 different awards that recognise Australian and New Zealand creators who best use the app to entertain, educate
and inspire.

Among the nominees for New Zealand Creator of the Year is Tauranga mum Paris Nuku, who began sharing her life and Māori kai cooking skills in 2022… and now has more than 330,000 followers.
“Growing up in te ao Māori [the Māori world], our kai – boil-up, hāngī, lambs’ tails – was normal to us,” Paris told the Weekly last year.
“But once I started putting it out into the world, I noticed how intrigued people were.”

Other nominated Kiwi influencers include Louis Davis, who shares videos about fatherhood and family life in the Far North, and cleaning, renovating and cooking queen Brit Cunningham.
