After a busy festive period which saw Meghan break royal protocol and spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, the loved-up pair are off on a short break.

The newly engaged couple were seen boarding an economy flight to Nice.

The royal couple were reportedly boarded the plane before all other passengers and sat in the back row of the plane surrounded by bodyguards.

Harry wore a baseball cap and Meghan wore a black beanie in an attempt to not draw attention to themselves.

They are understood to be spending several days in the region with friends, the Daily Mail reported.

Prince Harry last week revealed that Meghan’s first Christmas with his family had been a success.

“It was fantastic. She really enjoyed it, the family loved having her there,” he said.

“Together we had a really amazing time. We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running around with the kids,” he added.

Preparations are well underway for their wedding in May which will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
