Since he made his entrance into the world at 4.24pm on Monday, July 22, 2013, we’ve closely followed the progress of Prince George Alexander Louis, our future king. His first 10 years have been well documented, with his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, sharing official photos of the young prince every year. Many have been taken by his talented mum Kate, who is always able to coax a big smile out of her eldest child.
New Zealand had the privilege of being the first country outside of the UK to get to see George when he came here on his first overseas trip, aged just eight months. He’s since accompanied his parents on visits to places like Canada, Poland and Germany, and become part of the family line-up at events like Trooping the Colour. After the death last year of his beloved great-grandmother the Queen, he became second in line to the throne.
