Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco celebrated a very special occasion yesterday as their five-month-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, were baptised.

The royal couple brought their adorable twins out to see the cheering public after the ceremony, which took place at the Cathedral of Monaco. Princess Charlene wore an elegant white Dior Haute Couture outfit for the occasion, while the little Prince and Princess were dressed up in traditional christening gowns by Baby Dior.

Charlene’s family came from South Africa to be there for the baptism, with her brother Gareth also acting as godfather for Princess Gabriella. Her godmother is Nerine Pienaar, wife of retired South African rugby player Francois Pienaar.

Prince Jacques’ godparents are Prince Albert’s cousin Christopher Le Vine Jr and Diane de Polignac Nigra.

After the christening, the royal family returned to the palace for another special ceremony in the Throne Room. Prince Jacques was officially named Grand Cross of the Order of Grimaldi while Princess Gabriella was named Grand Officer of the Order of Grimaldi.
