The 36-year-old former Olympic swimmer gave birth via Caesarean at the Princess Grace hospital on Wednesday, December 10, with her 56-year-old husband Prince Albert at her side.
The pair has already named their little bundles of joy, naming their princess, who was born first, Gabriella Thérèse Marie and their prince Jacques Honoré Rainier. According to custom, it is Prince Jacques who will be first in line to the throne.
Prince Jacques will also receive the title of Marquis of Baux (in Provence) while Princess Gabriella will be titled the Countess of Carlades (in Auvergne).
“It is with immense joy that TT.SS.HH the Prince and Princess of Monaco have the great pleasure to announce the birth of their children named: Gabriella, Thérèse, Marie (born at 17h04) Jacques, Honoré, Rainier (born at 17h06),” a statement released by the palace read.

The people of the city of Monaco, who have long awaited a royal birth, have celebrated by ringing church bells for 15 minutes followed by the sounding of boat horns.
In the days to come, the royal pair will share their newborn babies with the country by presenting them outside the palace.
