The age old saying states that stars, they’re just like us. And when it comes to the Cambridge clan, they continually surprise the world with just how down-to-earth they really are.
Overnight, royal watchers have been sent into meltdown after the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted doing her own shopping at the upmarket supermarket chain Waitrose in Norfolk, just days before she’s due to welcome her third child. Of course such a mind-blowing event didn’t go unnoticed, with one shopper snapping iPhone photos of Kate in action.
Somehow, the 36-year-old wife of Prince William managed to make her aisle style effortlessly chic in a peach-coloured double-breasted coat by Joseph, slim-fit trousers and black boots.
The Duchess was last pictured at a church service over Easter. They are due to welcome their third child any day now.
So, the question on everyone’s lips is – what is in Kate Middleton’s shopping bag?
The onlooker claims Kate bought either a sprig coriander or parsley, apparently with a “25% off” sticker on it.
The nifty Duchess also brought along her own recyclable bags and purchased her goods at the self-service check-out system, before packing them into her Land Rover as a royal protection officer stood close by.
The roving royal reporter said hello to the Duchess and she reportedly replied, “Hi, hello,” the Daily Mail report.
“I was just in Waitrose doing a bit of shopping. I just went round the corner of the aisle – and I saw her. I said to my husband ‘that looks like Kate Middleton’. He said ‘it’s not’, and I said ‘it is,'” the witness recalled.
“It was like a surreal experience, to see her doing everyday things,” the woman added.
Indeed, it’s not the first time a royal has acted like us mere mortals.
In 2016, Prince Harry was spotted ducking into his local Waitrose in Kensington to pick up some eggs.
Despite being on maternity leave, Catherine was last pictured at the annual Royal church service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 1st. Her due date is thought to be on or around April 23rd.
