It’s been a long time coming, but finally Duchess Catherine is heading out on her first official royal engagement overseas all by herself.
Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess of Cambridge will embark on her next adventure on October 11.
Kate is set to leave Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte behind as she attends the royal engagement in the Netherlands.
The royal mother-of-two will reportedly spend time in The Hague and Rotterdam.
She is also set to begin her trip by meeting with King Willem-Alexander at Villa Eikenhorst.
Her royal schedule will then see art-lover Kate visiting the Mauritshuis in The Hague for an exhibition called At Home in Holland: Vermeer and his Contemporaries from the British Royal Collection.

At the Gallery, Duchess Catherine will meet children and participate in their learning program, before attending a reception with museum supporters.
An avid supporter of mental health initiatives, the Duchess will then attend a discussion on the themes of addiction, mental health, family and intervention at the British Ambassador’s Residence.
Lastly, the young royal will stop by Rotterdam to visit Bouwkeet, a fledgling initiative focused on bolstering the community in an economically deprived area.
Local disadvantaged residents are encouraged to “pay” for services by sharing their skills with others.
The centre is also focused on youth workshops to teach young people to design and create their own projects.
This might be her first time overseas on a royal engagement but it’s not the first time she’s been due to travel solo.
The Duchess had been due to visit Malta back in 2014 but had to cancel the trip due to her extreme morning sickness.
