But it could be one of the last behind-the-scenes glimpses we get of the future king for some time as he embarks on an important new phase of his life.

The prince looks carefree in Cornwall.

Joining Eton College

George starts at his prestigious secondary school, Eton College, in a few weeks, and royal experts say his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, will prioritise making sure he can get through this life-changing period without being in the limelight.

“It’s going to be a challenging time for Prince George, and his parents and his school are going to be trying to create a lot of privacy,” says author Carolyn Harris.

While there is inevitably huge public interest in the teenager destined to be king, and who he is as a person, he will be given time and space to develop his own interests and concentrate on his education.

A palace insider says, “Becoming a teenager and starting secondary school is a big deal for anyone, let alone a child in the public eye, and William and Catherine will want to make sure he adjusts to these changes with as little scrutiny as possible.”
