From dancing to singing and now modelling, is there anything Parris Goebel can’t do?
The acclaimed Kiwi choreographer proves she’s got what it takes to be a catwalk queen in a series of new photos modelling Los Angeles-based designer Sophia Amoruso’s Nasty Gal range.
Sporting platinum blonde locks and a variety of avant-garde ensembles, the talented 24-year-old strikes a pose for the camera.
Parris, who gained international attention as the choreographer for Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’ music video and was recently nominated for an American Music Award, is no stranger to being in the spotlight.
But as the Kiwi star reveals in the accompanying interview on the Nasty Gal blog, Nasty Galaxy, it’s her perfectionism and drive that has helped propel her to where she is today.
“I won’t put something out if I’m not proud of it. Like anything else, you know, you wanna be proud of your work, so I really pay attention to detail and executing my vision,” she told the online publication.
“I never take other people’s opinions into consideration, and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, but it’s what works for me. Bringing my vision to life always takes priority.”
That creative vision has seen Parris work with everyone from Rihanna to Janet Jackson, all while running her own dance studio based in Auckland. And as if that weren’t enough, she’s also set to drop her very first EP, Run and Tell Your Friends, on November 4.
Juggling multiple careers might be daunting for some, but the Kiwi star reveals that she takes it all in her stride.
“I know how hard it is, but it’s so rewarding to push yourself to fulfil your potential,” she told Nasty Galaxy.
