Mariah Carey has broken her silence over the rumours she’s split from her Australian billionaire partner, James Packer.
The songstress, who got engaged to James earlier this year, confirmed via reps that she has not spoken to Packer since they had a fight in Greece this month.
Mariah’s representatives also quashed rumours that the fight was about the pop star’s excessive spending or her cheating with a dancer.
“They are trying to work it out but right now they are not sure if they will stay together,” the statement read.
Entertainment site TMZ previously reported that James had done something “really bad” with her assistant on a luxury yacht. As a result, Mariah left Greece and headed back home to LA.
Just one month ago, Mariah shared a loved up snap of her and her fiancé, as they gazed into each other’s eyes (see above).
But just a few weeks later, and it seems all bets could be off for the pair – who got engaged back in January after meeting in late 2013.
At the time, Mariah was still married to US rapper Nick Cannon, while James was still getting over the breakdown of his own marriage to model Erica Packer.
But after Mariah and Nick’s relationship broke down in 2014, she and Packer began dating – sailing round the world in his luxury yacht.
Controversially for some, Mariah chose to spend Halloween with ex-husband Nick Cannon and their two children – Moroccan and Monroe. The star chose a red latex devil outfit, while her former hubbie opted for a Luigi look from Super Mario.
