In the middle of his song ‘The Good Life’ at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, Kanye suddenly stopped to ask all the fans to stand up.

“I’ve decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of the show until everybody stands up,” he told the cheering crowd.

As the music died down and the rapper was left on stage waiting, he started singling out the few concert goers who weren’t standing up – including several who were in wheelchairs.

“There’s literally two people left. They don’t want to stand up. This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song. It’s unbelievable,” he said on stage.

The awkward moment continued for several minutes as Kanye continued asking everyone to stand, not realising some were unable to. As the rest of the crowd began to boo, Kanye finally understood and began asking “is he in a wheelchair?”

Some reports say one fan even resorted to waving his prosthetic limb in the air to get the point across. Kanye finally relented, saying “now if he’s in a wheelchair, that’s fine”, before starting the song back up and continuing the show as normal.

Check out the mix-up here (warning: the video starts off very loud and does contain some expletives).
