Louise Wallace, an actress and broadcaster, is the latest name linked to the casting list for the hotly anticipated Real Housewives of Auckland reality show.

The former TVNZ broadcaster has appeared on Shortland Street and Agent Anna and previously hosted The Weakest Link and Celebrity Treasure Island, so she’s already had some experience with the reality TV cameras.

The New Zealand Herald reports that Louise is part of a shortlist of high-flying Kiwi women set to share their day-to-day lives as part of the show. Stylist and fashion consultant Angela Stone, real estate agent Carita Fenning, socialite and businesswoman Paula Herbert and Bob Jones’ ex-wife Kham Jones are said to make up the rest of the list.

Meanwhile, property investor Nikki Connors recently went public about turning down her own offer to join The Real Housewives of Auckland, citing concerns about the rest of the cast and the format of the hugely popular series.

“There were some very interesting businesswomen there, and some others who I didn’t feel entirely comfortable [being portrayed] with,” she told Stuff at the time.

“It’s a dangerous game, here in New Zealand, when you put yourself out there on a show like this, or put yourself out there at all,” she told the publication.

Matchbox Pictures, the production company behind The Real Housewives of Melbourne, is yet to confirm any official cast announcements for the Auckland version of the show.
