Gwen and Gavin have been married for 12 years now and have three children together – Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. While their busy lifestyles keep the couple apart at times, Gwen believes it is this balance that helps keep them together.
“We go through so much together – it’s a miracle that we could stay together this long,” she told Cosmopolitan.
She also revealed the couple still do romantic things for each other, with Gavin writing her “the sweetest note” recently while he was away on a tour.
“I think that’s what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality. That’s especially important for women – it’s hard to find time for yourself.”
And while Gwen may be known for her glamorous style, with her signature platinum blonde locks and ruby red lips, she says she never thought she would wind up with someone as “handsome” as her 49-year-old hubby.
“I never really saw myself landing a guy that hot,” she revealed.
“It’s not the most important thing about him, but it is nice … and he makes really cute babies!”
