Gemma Flynn has turned to reality TV to help find her perfect wedding dress.
The Olympian, who is engaged to former All Black captain Richie McCaw, has been confirmed as one of the Kiwi brides set to appear on the new show, Say Yes to the Dress: Australia.
Following 18 brides-to-be, is filmed in Australia, but features some Kiwi women – including Gemma, 26.
Under the expert guidance of the show’s fashion director and couture wedding gown designer Adam Dixon, and with her family and best friends at her side, will the hockey champion will be filmed trying on a number of dream wedding dresses ahead of her big day, before hopefully picking her favourite.
The six-part series goes behind the scenes at premier bridal salon Brides of Sydney in Australia, where Adam along with a team of specialists help the brides find their perfect wedding dress.
Gemma and Richie, who have been dating for four years, announced their engagement in early January, with Richie taking to Facebook to write, “Gemma said ‘yes’! It’s been great celebrating our engagement with friends and family in sunny central Otago. Here’s to a great year ahead.”
The pair have been holidaying in Hawaii following the Rio Olympics.
