Sad news today with a report from US publication Page Six claiming Elle Macpherson has split from her husband of four years, Jeffrey Soffer.

“Elle and Jeff are definitely over,” an insider revealed to the site.

“She has left their house at Indian Creek in Miami with her kids, and is looking for her own house in Miami. He has been linked to some other women, but insists they are just friends,” the source added.

The couple in happier times.

It could shape up to be a messy split considering property tycoon Jeffrey is worth $1 billion dollars, and Elle – known in her catwalk heyday as “The Body” – reportedly has a cool $70 million in the bank.

53-year-old Elle first met Jeffrey in 2010 and they dated for two years before going their separate ways in March, 2012.

Elle promptly shacked up with banker Roger Jenkins, but they eventually split and the supermodel rekindled her romance with Jeffrey before they tied the knot in an intimate Fijian ceremony in July 2013.

Last year, the model opened up about their family dynamic.

“‘I don’t believe in telling him how to raise his kids,” she explained to Stellar magazine.

“We have a deep respect for each other’s profound commitment to parenting, so we would both probably say that the children come first. And that means, at times, that we are separated because of where the kids are and it takes quite a mature person to allow each other to do what we need to do in our families’ lives.”

The home-grown beauty married US Elle creative director Gilles Bensimon when she was just 21, but they divorced three years later in 1989.

In 1995, she became engaged to financier Arpad Busson, and the pair had two teenage sons, Arpad and Aurelius, but they split in 2005.

The star has yet to address the divorce claims.
