The Revenant hasn’t hit cinemas yet and already it’s one of the most controversial and talked about movies of the year.
The film, based on a true story, stars Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio as fur trapper and frontiersman Hugh Glass who is left for dead by Tom Hardy’s character John Fitzgerald.
Its most controversial scene is one where Glass is seemingly ‘raped’ by a bear.
Dancing with the Stars NZ host and Woman’s Day A-list insider Dominic Bowden chatted to the two actors about the film for E!’s The Hype.
In the clip, Dom probes Leo about the logistics of that already-famed scene and asks him and Tom, ‘If you got dropped into the middle of the New Zealand wilderness with a broken leg, how would you go?’
