Beyonce named the richest woman in music

According to Forbes, between June 2013 and June 2014 Beyonce brought in $148 million (NZD) thanks to a successful world tour that included 95 shows during that year alone.

Her surprise release of the visual album Beyonce also helped her move into the top spot – and the singer has plans to re-release the top selling record with some new material and limited-edition extras.

There’s no denying Beyonce is at the top of her game – and with husband Jay Z and baby girl Blue Ivy by her side, life seems better than ever.

However, the singer has also been rocked by the release of an upcoming ‘tell-all’ book focusing on her life and career. Beyonce herself has not authorised the book or provided any information for it, but author J. Randy Taraborrelli is reportedly talking to members of the star’s inner circle in an effort to dig up the dirt.

From her rocky relationship with dad Matthew Knowles (whom she fired as her manager in 2011) to the persistent whispers of Jay’s infidelity, there’s no shortage of rumours surrounding Beyonce – and the author has promised to “explore all facets” of her life.
