In a video message released by Universal Pictures, Angelina explains why she will be a no-show at the next few events for her second directorial effort, which focuses on the life of World War II hero Louis Zamperini.
“I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chicken pox,” Angelina explains.
In the video, which has been shared on YouTube, the actress already seems to be showing the tell-tale signs of the viral infection with the rash visible on her skin.
“I will be home, itching and missing everyone, and I can’t believe it because this film means so much to me,” she explains in the video.
“I just can’t believe it! But such is life…I send everyone my love and hope everything goes well.”
Unbroken stars Jack O’Connell, Finn Wittrock, Garrett Hedlund and Miyavi and will be released in New Zealand next year.
