They may be one of Hollywood’s most famous couples, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s combined star power doesn’t stop their kids from seeing them as the ‘dorky’ parents!

In a new interview with WSJ Magazine, Angelina opened up her surprisingly normal home life with Brad and their children Zahara, Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.

“We wake up, we make breakfast. In our domestic life, we’re Mom and Dad,” she told the magazine.

“And often we’re dorky Mom and Dad, which the kids find ridiculous.”

However, Brad and Ange can certainly turn on the glamour when there’s a red carpet event to attend! The pair stepped out together at the WSJ Magazine 2015 Innovator Awards on Wednesday in matching black ensembles, with Brad in a classic suit and Ange showing off a super slim figure in a strapless Tom Ford gown.

The couple have been making the rounds lately to promote their upcoming film By The Sea, which reunites the pair on screen for the first time since their debut in Mr And Mrs Smith 10 years ago.

The ambitious project, which Angelina also wrote and directed, gave the duo the challenge of playing a couple whose marriage was in crisis. As she revealed to WSJ, filming the emotionally charged scenes was tough on both of them.

“It was very hard to do those scenes without Brad and I taking care of each other. Normally in between takes, you’d make sure that the other’s OK, but we had to be able to really get ugly,” she said.

Angelina acknowledges it could have been a “disaster” if it weren’t for the couple’s children, who kept them in check.

“As soon as we got home, it was bedtime stories, children’s needs and problems, the fights they’d had during the day. We had to immediately snap back to something that was uniting and positive and loving,” she said.
