Attention fellow film watchers who turned Blake Lively’s martini recipe in A Simple Favor into a personality trait: its sequel, Another Simple Favor has landed, and this time it’s gone Euro.
Directed by Paul Feig, the sequel to the hit 2018 dark comedy sees Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding all reprise their roles. The flick first premiered at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festivals on March 7, 2025.

When sweet and wholesome mommy blogger Stephanie (Kendrick) befriends the super-chic and mysterious Emily, things take a wild turn. When Emily asks her for a “simple favour” (get it?) to pick up her son and disappears without a trace, Stephanie takes it upon herself to uncover the truth. As she delves deeper, she discovers shocking secrets about Emily’s life, including hidden relationships and lies, leading to a series of twists that reveal nothing is as it seems.
The film starring Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians, Nine Perfect Strangers) was a smash hit, mainly because of *that* shot of Blake exiting her black 911 Targa Porsche in the rain.

The sequel to A Simple Favor, Another Simple Favor sees Blake Lively (It Ends with Us) return as mysterious con artist Emily Nelson with a dark history, and Anna Kendrick back as widowed mother Stephanie Smothers. This time, they’re reuniting in Italy for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Glamorous guests, murder and betrayal are all promised in the trailer, during a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.
