Reality star Tori Spelling has reportedly been admitted to hospital suffering from “stress and anxiety”, after receiving negative feedback about her new book.
Tori (40) received a backlash over new memoir Spelling It Like It Is after she called actress Katie Holmes a “robot” in one chapter.
“Tori didn’t think making comments about a chance encounter with Katie Holmes would cause such a ruckus,” an insider tells Radar Online.
“She just grew very anxious about having to defend her actions in the book in media interviews and decided that she needed to go to the hospital.”
In her book, Tori recalls her brief encounter with Katie shortly after her divorce from Tom Cruise.
Tori writes the Batman Begins actress was “plastic. In a perfectly polite way,” before calling her unfriendly.
“I didn’t know whether we should hug or shake hands. But the signal from her was immediately clear: Don’t even come close,” Tori wrote.
