Last week, The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys contestants Sam Cable and Emma Diamond were caught on camera getting cosy in bed together.
But the cheeky duo have now revealed their relationship was all a prank.
“It was a group idea, we were all in on it,” Emma told [Woman’s Day]http://www.womansday.co.nz/entertainment/the-block/the-block-nzs-sam-cable-and-emma-diamond-tell-all-5252), confirming the other Block NZ* teams were in on the joke.
“It was very much a team effort, and one which definitely backfired on us,” Sam added.
On Wednesday night’s show, the pair, who are competing on different teams, were “caught” on camera in the same bed, with Emma seemingly making a hasty escape from Sam’s bed in the early morning. However, it was just a joke.

And it seems there is no chance the on-screen fling will spill over into real life.
“No, Sam and I, we’re like brother and sister. We get along really well but it won’t be anything more than that. Sorry Sam,” Emma said.
“There’s been no moves made on Emma at all, nor has there been on any other cast members. I am very much still single, as is Emma, and we’ll just move on from there,” Sam added.
Sam says, based on people’s reaction to the “couple”, he almost wishes the prank was real.
“I feel slightly guilty now that’s it’s not real, because there were some nice messages from fans.”
But for now, Sam and Emma admit everyone on the Block are too exhausted to come up with any more jokes to play on viewers.
The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys airs Sunday nights at 7:00pm and Monday-Wednesday at 7:30pm on TV3
