Four teams will face off against each other later this year – this time tackling 1980s townhouses.
The homes will be transformed into the most environmentally friendly and energy efficient houses possible – being completely stripped back from their current state.
Returning for the fifth season of the show will be Mark Richardson and co-host Shelley Ferguson.
Speaking of the new series, Mark said the houses are from the late 80s, and are “patched together with old fashioned brick and plaster render.”
“They’ll need to be stripped back to the bare bones and completely re-imagined to make them desirable in today’s competitive market,” he added.
And this season’s district of choice is in upmarket Meadowbank, Auckland, bordered by other exclusive areas such as Remuera and Mission Bay.
Teams are yet to be confirmed by TV3.
