Russell Crowe has reached an amicable settlement with the New York hotel clerk he was charged with assaulting earlier this year. Russell allegedly hit Nestor Estrada in the face with a telephone during a late-night altercation in June and was officially charged with one count of second-degree assault. Russell has since publicly apologised to the clerk and his own family for his violent actions, which escalated after the star failed to get a working telephone line to his wife Danielle in Australia, while staying at the oercer Hotel. The actor has reportedly agreed to pay $100,000.
