The rapper’s sixth solo release isn’t for kids, with explicit lyrics, but his extended trip to Paris to write it – leaving pregnant Kim behind – was well worth the time. With samples taken from sources as diverse as Marilyn Manson and Indian film scores, Yeezus is often very angry, sometimes controversial and constantly profane – but surprisingly thought-provoking.
