Kanye West is not only a new dad, but his new album went straight to number one in the British charts. The rapper’s sixth solo release isn’t for kids, with explicit lyrics, but his extended trip to Paris to write it – leaving pregnant Kim behind – was well worth the time. With samples taken from sources as diverse as Marilyn Manson and Indian film scores, Yeezus is often very angry, sometimes controversial and constantly profane – but surprisingly thought-provoking.
