Thor star Natalie Portman has tied the knot to her beau Benjamin Millepied. The pair, who first met on the set of the ballet film Black Swan, married in a starlit Jewish ceremony at a private home in California.

The low-key ceremony was attended by 60 friends and family in the coastal location of Big Sur – famous for its connections to beatnik writers, including Jack Kerouac and Hunter S Thompson.

“It’s one of Natalie’s favourite places – whenever she needs a break from Los Angeles she goes there,” says a friend. The Oscar-winning actress (31) and French-born dancer-choreographer (35) are parents to one-year-old son Aleph.
