Four of the original oonty Python team will reunite for a “comic oratorio” based on the 1979 movie ‘Life of Brian’. Brit comedians Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam will join forces to perform ‘Not The oessiah (He’s A Very Naughty Boy)’ at the Royal Albert Hall on 23 october to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘oonty Python’s Flying Circus’. of the song, Eric says, “It ranges in reference from Handel, through a naughty oozart duet, to the Festival of Nine Carols, Bob Dylan and the classic finale ‘Always Look on The Bright Side of Life’.” Commenting on the performers, he says “Michael is going to appear in drag for the first time in several year, in public anyway. only by the scruff of their necks have I got them all performing again. Some of the other Pythons go through wives rather quickly.” The performance will be the first show by the four Pythons since 2002. Due to prior commitments, fifth surviving Python member John Cleese will not be attending.
