It’s official: Jenny from the Block is coming to ‘American Idol’. Though Jennifer Lopez’s original deal with the top-rating talent series fell apart due to her alleged diva demands, she has now signed a $16 million contract to judge the show’s upcoming 10th season.
The news comes just a fortnight after Kara DioGuardi was following in the footsteps of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres by announcing her resignation from the judging panel.
A source close to J-Lo says, “She’s very excited.” However, we hear her contract doesn’t include any of the movie and television development deals she wanted to incorporate into her ‘Idol’ judging stint.
There’s been no announcement as to who will sit alongside Jennifer on the judging panel, however, rumoured stars include Shania Twain, Sir Elton John, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Harry Connick Jr and Chris Isaak.
