Paula Abdul’s future on ‘American Idol’ is in jeopardy because the former singer wants to be paid twice as much more than she was for last season. The zany diva reportedly demanded $30 million dollars for the ninth series of the popular show, but TV executives are only willing to offer her half of that. Paula’s manager David Sonenberg has declared, “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol.” Despite the doubt that this has cast on her returning, Simon Cowell is adamant Paula will stay on the judging panel. Simon says, “She’ll be fine. She’ll be on the show. I don’t get a lot of say; I’ve just made it clear that I want Paula on the show.” And ‘Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest adds, “I connected with Paula Abdul today. Can’t imagine doing Idol without her!”
