The discovery of an unidentified, rotting corpse in the old ice house at Screech Grange marks the beginning of a nightmare murder investigation for the three women living there. Headstrong Chief Inspector Jack Walsh (Corin Redgrave) is convinced that this marks not a beginning, but the end of a decade-old case he was unable to solve at the time. His assistant, Sergeant Andy McLoughlin (Daniel Craig), remains sceptical, positing that the body could be one of three missing persons.
