Following on from The Avengers, this drama hits Thor closer to home, when an old-world evil comes back to wreak havoc on Asgard. Director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) nails this anticipated sequel, retaining the same tone that made the first one a popular flick. Despite its subtitle, Thor keeps it light, punctuating the bleaker moments with wise-cracks and amusing banter, often between the titular hero and his trickster brother, Loki. Sometimes predictable, but still entertaining.
