Breast cancer survivor and actress Christina Applegate (40) has spoken out about her “emotional collapse” after enduring a double mastectomy in 2008.
The Anchorman star says she didn’t have time to deal with the loss of her breasts, as details of her condition were leaked to the media before she could really grasp the seriousness of the situation.
“I miss my exquisite breasts sometimes,” she says. “I was just shaking [when I was diagnosed] and then also immediately, I had to go into “take-care-of-business-mode” which included a change to a more healthy diet.”
The star has now beaten the disease and is a mum to one-year-old Sadie Grace.
