The lengthy custody battle is finally over between supermodel Christie Brinkley and Hamptons architect Peter Cook, and the pair have agreed to never talk to each other.
Christie (58) and Peter (53) divorced six years ago after Peter confessed to having an affair with an 18-year-old woman.
Both parties have battled it out in the glare of the media spotlight, publicly criticising and attacking one another, and earlier this year Peter accused Christie of using their court battle as a publicity stunt for her return to Broadway in Chicago.
The settlement’s “no verbal contact” clause is possibly the first thing the pair have agreed on since their divorce.
They have also agreed to hiring a “parent co-ordinator” to supervise their dealings with their daughter Sailor (14) and son Jack (17) from Christie’s third marriage. Peter has wanted a parent co-ordinator for some time, but Christie refused.
Christie took to Facebook to release her official statement of the settlement ending the feud, saying “I am hopeful the steps taken will now protect my Constitutional right to quiet and enjoyment and peace… But it’s the emotional toll which can only be measured in tears that must be considered by the courts and media alike.”
She went on to call Peter a “narcissist”, and commented on how frustrating the court process had been.
Peter married Suzanne Shaw this year, who he started dating shortly after separating from Christie.
