LA sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim may recycle the pop style of the 70s and 80s, and 90s R&B, but their debut album is one of the freshest of the year. Their songs are beautifully textured and layered, with keyboard and electronic beats on tracks Falling and Forever. On The Wire, the girls strip it back to a simple beat and soft rock guitar, with shades of Fleetwood Mac. Coming to our shores for the Laneway Festival next year – a must-see.
